Hope your 2019 is off to a good start! Over the past few months, I have had more and more inquiries about the "shifting" market. Since September 2018 we have definitely seen signs of this market change in the Bay Area. Inventory is still relatively low which is keeping the market active. The shift has caused some homes to sit on the market a bit longer and we have even seen some price reductions. Buyers are definitely more cautious than they were a year ago.
What does this mean?
This is a crucial time to be strategic. Don't over leverage yourself or your real estate! I recommend with every shifting market that you re-evaluate your short and long-term goals and make sure you are strategically set up for success.
No matter where you live or wish to invest in your future, ideally each real estate decision should take advantage of the market conditions. If you or anyone you know is considering making a move, it's most helpful to get me involved as early as possible. These decisions may feel overwhelming or even paralyzing, but there is always a logical path to the ideal decision.
